Foreshore Jewelry

Irene Farrar

My interest in found objects and the beauty of hues and shapes found in nature merge into one-of-a-kind handcrafted pieces. Centuries-old pottery shards and clay pipe remnants scavenged in London from the Thames River foreshore are relics of 17th-19th century everyday life. Once thrown into the river as refuse, they are now turned into treasure when combined with sterling silver, gold, leather, glass or semi-precious gemstones. Other contemporary sterling silver, yellow or rose gold-filled necklaces incorporate unique bent-wire designs dangling from delicate chains. Custom designs available.
