Deborah Travis I am a watercolor painter and fiber artist whose works on paper, silk, and other fibers explore and reflect my response to the elements and beauty of the natural world. I create scarves, shawls, garments, and other fiber forms utilizing traditional and contemporary Shibori shaped resist techniques with indigo and other dyes. I also create images on cloth with batik, printing, eco-printing, and natural dyes. My fiber works are an extension of my many years as a plein air watercolor painter.
